This scientific study was conducted to dertermine the impact of Raccoon to row crops.  While the study was designed to determine Raccoon impact, it does show the difference between raccoon and deer crop damage, and it's economic impact.

Most suprising is that most farmers attribute the damage to crops from deer, while in reality a great deal of it is actually done by coon.
